MunchRanch Exotic Animal Farm has been raising exotic animals for several years. We have found that the Servals have been such a joy to raise and care for. The Servals are very responsive to their name. They play fetch and love to interact with gusto. However, they are not like raising a large domestic cats. Servals require special care, supervision, attention, dedication, and a life long commitment. Having one of these cats is serious and must not be purchased on a whim, or because you were caught up in the moment with awe. Servals are incredibly beautiful, graceful, and loving. They require, and deserve special attention to details. Occasionally, we have kittens to sell. They do not reproduce like domestic cats and often a year goes bye that we have not have kittens.
To see if we currently have any, visit our What's for Sale? page.
Here
are the Serval parents which we bottle fed and raised in the house. They have
brought us several litters of the most precious kittens you could imagine. They
enjoy a huge covered pen outside under the trees on our ranch. These cats have
a jungle gym and get plenty of exercise. As pets, they will get from 25-35 pounds.
Of all the exotic cats, the Serval are considered to be the best companions.
They must be treated with respect and love. You must have plenty of time to
give them. We DO NOTrecommend them to any one who has children in the family,
nor will we knowingly sell to families with children. They are very beautiful
and exotic, but still wild animals. Also, they may not be legal in your state,
or county. If you are not able to have and give the intense commitment demanded
for owning one of the beauties, you might want to consider a smaller, exotic
looking cat. This is one of the reasons we are breeding
Bengal
cats and Savannah cats.

The spotted cat above is an f6 Savannah male that we bredf from our f5.
The ones below are Bengals.

The Bengals come in with spots, marbling, and 'snow' markings. They are crosses which have some of the grace and beauty of the Serval, but smaller and more domestic. They are legal in most places where ever house cats are legal, and are recognized and shown in TICA, a cat association. The Bengals are also very exotic looking, but we have discovered that they may be illegal in some backward and uneducated communities.
They originated from the Asian
leopard cats and another domestic.
Because the servals are exotic, they must be given special
shots, so be sure to have a veterinarian who is able to give your Serval the
proper care, or who is not afraid to a
sk another vet who is.

This is my sister, Connie. holding one of the Servals. It has grown up in the picture on the left. You can see that the size is quite formidable, and is not recommended for families with children.

These playful baby servals shown here may have all been sold, but we may have another litter on the way. Email us to see if they have arrived yet.
